Work Sara’s work is much focused on photography and video, by using new technologies. She is extremely attentive to aesthetic values in her work, which is, in the words of A. Madesani, (Le icone fluttuanti, Milano 2002) “a work of great commitment and strength in its content obtained through a high quality iconographic research”. Sara’s work makes significant reference to the iconological and formal structures in the history of art, from the Renaissance, to Goya, and Frederich. The images and the stories represented are set in real natural and scenographic contexts where, however, “the dimension is dreamlike, time seems suspended, tension leads to a spatial infinity” (Madesani 2002). Time and its duration are not intended in a linear and rigid way like “before, during, and after an image”, but are intended rather as “lingering and changing” (M.R. Sossai, Artevideo, Milano 2002). In this passing and mutation of time takes place a “continuous process of transformation such to yield the sense of continuous creation and decay as happens in nature. (Madesani 2002).Press Linkshttp://www.teknemedia.net/magazine/plaid/dettail.html?mId=254 CITRIC |
